href="http://www.matthewpemmott.co.uk/2008/01/castlehaughcastle-haughcastle-haw.html" title="The Castles and Towers of Cumbria" target="_blank"><strong><em>Castlehaw</em></strong></a>, the site of an ancient Norman motte-and-bailey castle, dating from around the 10thC.
